Today we’ll mix art and geometry to create something beautiful you can hang in your room or classroom:
A Geometric Mobile made with paper shapes!
🎯 What You'll Need:

Colored paper or cardboard

Scissors ✂️

A ruler
-
A hole punch or pencil

String or thread
-
A stick or hanger to hang the mobile
Step 1: Cut Out Shapes
Using your ruler and scissors, cut out:

3 triangles
-
3 circles
-
2 squares
-
2 rectangles
-
1 hexagon
Try different sizes and colors!
Example:
Step 2: Label and Explore
On the back of each shape, write:

Its name (e.g., triangle)
-
The number of sides and vertices
-
Whether it has symmetry
Step 3: Build Your Mobile

Punch a hole in each shape.

Tie string to each one.

Hang the shapes from a stick or hanger in a balanced design.

Make sure it can spin and move freely!
Step 4: Observe and Reflect

Which shapes are heavier or larger?

Does your mobile stay balanced? Why or why not?

How many different geometric properties are in your creation?
